About Dr. Rodriguez

Dr. Raquel Rodriguez is a general dentist at O’Connell and Rodriguez Family Dental in New City. She grew up in Cornwall, New York, where she and Dr. Daniel O’Connell were neighbors for many years — a connection that eventually brought her into partnership at his practice.

Her path into healthcare started with her family: physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators. She studied at Yale University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, then worked as a Healthcare Access Advocate at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center before applying to dental school.

A decorated training record. Dr. Rodriguez graduated from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with numerous awards and scholarships, among them the Dr. Irwin Quinn Memorial Award, given for outstanding professional and humanitarian practices. She went on to serve as chief dental resident at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, where she was named resident of the year.

Relationships and continuing education. Her approach centers on building real relationships with patients and delivering quality care in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. She takes continuing education courses frequently, specifically so she can bring newer technology and advanced techniques to bear on her patients’ smiles and overall health.

Dr. Rodriguez lives in Cornwall, NY with her rescue dog, Kali. Away from the practice she is usually reading, cooking for her family, or out hiking with Kali.
