About Dr. O'Connell
Dr. Daniel O’Connell has been practicing dentistry from the same New City office since 1985 — and he is a New City native himself, a graduate of St. Augustine’s School and Clarkstown South High School. He traces his interest in the profession back to age twelve and the influence of his own childhood orthodontist.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1985 and is a member of both the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Association. His peers have selected him as a “Top Dentist of the Hudson Valley” for ten consecutive years.
Multi-generational family care. What Dr. O’Connell points to with the most pride is longevity: the warm, patient-friendly office he and his staff have built, and the lifelong relationships with families in the area that in many cases now span three generations. He welcomes patients of all ages, and makes a point of promising professional, caring, pain-free treatment — work that improves patients’ oral health both cosmetically and functionally.
Outside the office he golfs, gardens, exercises, and follows New York sports closely. He spends his free time with his wife, his two grown children, and the family’s rescue poodle, Pierre.
